Hey friend,

I've been asking myself these two questions lately:

Am I Too Content? Do I Have Too Little Ambition?

I honestly worry about it. I've made it pretty far up the corporate ladder but I don't want to go further. I like it here. It's a nice blend of influence and freedom.

Is that a bad thing? Or am I being very smart?

I'm not sure.

But I'm exploring it in an article.

I'll let you know when it's done.

But I'd like to encourage you to do the opposite. Compete. For fun or in a semi-serious way. It adds something back into life. And that's a great thing.

Until next time,

Welcome to our weekly newsletter! 1 June 2025 Hey friend, I spent the last week thinking about the cost/benefit of my work. Am I doing too much? Is it costing me too much in other areas of my life? Should I be proud of myself for my efforts or should I be going harder? Do you ever wonder the same thing? Some Thoughts Bulgarian weightlifting coach Ivan Abadjiev used to say "don't be too self-confident". I am trying to take a moment to pause before being too self confident. Too sure that I am...

Welcome to our weekly newsletter! 25 May 2025 Hey friend, How do you think about self-marketing? If at all. Do you promote yourself or wait for your annual appraisal? Are you active on LinkedIn or Substack? I do zero self promotion. Like you probably do, I feel nervous about talking about myself. Hyping myself up. It feels wrong. But I know that if I want more recognition I need to change that. Some Thoughts Non-attachment is a powerful mindset that frees you from the emotional highs and lows...

A bit of a personal question but one that quickly reveals our deepest fears and desires. Some Thoughts Non-attachment is a powerful mindset that frees you from the emotional highs and lows that can cloud judgment and hinder progress. It doesn’t mean indifference—it means staying engaged without being emotionally entangled in outcomes. Whether in work or life, success and...
