Hey friend,

I have a little analogy for you this week. Imagine flying a plane. Taking off is the hardest part right? Then its just cruise. The same thing applies to learning. The beginning is the hard part. But don't give up. It gets easier.

Some Thoughts

Podcaster Dr Chatterjee used a really interesting phrase which I thought I’d share. He talked about putting the “spotlight of gratitude” on your life. Taking the time to focus on little things that deserve to be appreciated and not just fade into the background. Like the smell of fresh coffee or the sound of birds in the trees. You might have the essential skills of project management mastered. How to plan, track, deviate or communicate. But what about a more varied set of skills? Are there skills you could use which other project managers might not possess? Or even know exists? Well, the most effective project managers are those who bring a diverse array of skills to the table, combining their knowledge in unique ways to create a competitive edge. This concept, known as skill stacking, involves cultivating a broad range of abilities from different fields and integrating them in unique ways. I used to think that sticking to one thing forever was the best advice. Now I'm not so sure. Strategic quitting is a concept I got from Seth Godin's book, The Dip. (I'm actually thinking about uploading my Kindle highlights for the non-fiction books I read. But I'm not sure anyone would actually be interested.) Some Thoughts...

Some Thoughts “In the minds of geniuses, we find once more, our own neglected thoughts” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson Have you ever read a book, heard a quote, or listened to a speech by a great...
